Billie L McKernan

Billie Lee McKernan, 72, of Kenockee Township, died Friday, December 16, 2022.

She was born June 24, 1950 in Highland Park, Michigan. She married Daniel P. McKernan on March 17, 1971 in Detroit.

Billie was employed with Emhart Automotive for many years. She worked her way up from data entry to traveling world-wide solving customer service issues. She was very active in Kenockee Township, working on the zoning board of appeals and board of review. She had a passion for cooking fried chicken. Billie’s family was everything to her, she would do anything in devotion to her husband and children.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Daniel; children, Daniel T. (Jen) McKernan, Therese E. McKernan and Denise M. Galardi; granddaughters, Wilhelmina and Caitriona Galardi; sisters, Lura Buccellato, Argie (David) Lomas and Karen (Charles) Dawson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Eula and William McMurry; and aunt, Alma Campbell.

Private family services have taken place.

Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery Mausoleum, Port Huron.
