Frederick L "Bud" Green

Frederick Lester “Bud” Green, 84, of Marysville, died Saturday, January 7, 2023.

He was born January 31, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Loran and Madeline Green. He married Patricia J. Kiernan on November 4, 1961 in St. Stephen Catholic Church.

Bud was a 1956 graduate of Port Huron High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he was stationed at Camp Pendleton. After his military service, he was employed with Mueller Brass as a boiler mason, where he retired. Following retirement, he worked at the Marysville Golf Course as a ranger/starter. He loved to golf and was very proud of his hole-in-one, Bud was also an avid sports fan. He was very proud of his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; children, Michael Green (fiancé Amy Beesley), Mark (Vickie) Green, Tricia (Karl) Boehm and Thomas (Kathy) Green; grandchildren, Allyson (Walter) Bayne, Lindsey Green, Steven Green, Alyssa Green (fiancé Conor Allan), Nathan Green, Jeremy Boehm (fiancé Waddy Bucag), Joshua Boehm and Kyle Green; great grandchildren, Kylea, Arloh and Annie; sister, Nancy Phillips; special brother-in-law, Matt Chapie; many much loved nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Ross Edward Green. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Loran (Mary Alice) Green, Lorraine (Burnell) Keyworth, Donna (Bill) Kaupp and Robert (Barbara) Green; brother-in-law, David Phillips; grandson, Andrew Jeffery Green; and daughter-in-law, Ann Green.

Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
