Raymond F Kamsickas
Raymond Francis Kamsickas, 87, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, May 11, 2023.
He was born December 3, 1935 in Grand Rapids to the late Matthew and Nellie Kamsickas.
Raymond served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1957. He was employed with Henry L. Meyers Moving and Storage for 48 years before his retirement on December 31, 2004. He attended Faith Lutheran Church and was a member of the Vytautas Aid Society in Grand Rapids. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing. Raymond was known as an overall prankster.
He is survived by his loving companion of 38 years, Eileen Moore; former wife Marlene Kamsickas; his children, Gary (Christie) Kamsickas, Gregg (Debbie) Kamsickas, David (Janet) Kamsickas and Thomas (Jenny) Kamsickas, Kathy Yagloski (Theron Crorey), Michael (Larysa) Moore, Keith Moore (Kathie Cooper) and Cheryl (Joe) Barron; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Harrington; and two brothers, Leonard Kamsickas and Jerome Kamsickas.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023 in Faith Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend Mark Huff will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Inurnment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
