John F Nichols

John Frederick Nichols, 68, of Port Huron, died Sunday, May 14, 2023.

He was born July 23, 1954 in Port Huron. He married Lori Hayes on February 1, 1975 in Port Huron.

John was an avid sports fan, who in his younger years enjoyed playing baseball, football and basketball. Most recently he enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Blue Water Aerie #3702 Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lori; children, Jeremy (Rebecca), Jason (Guilherme) and Steven (Billie Jo) Nichols; grandchildren, Alina Nichols, Benjamin Nichols, Allison Nichols, Zyan Nichols and Mandy Pace; several brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Nichols Sr.; mother, Betty Warren; and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, May 18, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Phil Whetstone will officiate.
