Bernard Lemanski

Bernard Lemanski, 92, of Wales Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday July 31, 2023. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He was born August 22, 1930 in Detroit to the late Alex and Mary Lemanski.

He married Dorothy Negowski on September 25, 1953 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Bernard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the service he returned to Mueller Brass and retired in 1989 after 42 years.

Bernard is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy; children, Diane (Chip) Gerlach, Richard (Kathy) Lemanski, Denise (Matt) Anderson, Deborah Martin, and Robert (Heather) Lemanski; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Veronica Golembiewski.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 8, 2023 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
