Reta Mae Taylor, 87, of St. Clair Shores, died Saturday, October 28, 2023.
She was born January 23, 1936 in Mecosta, Michigan to the late Walter and Helena Bloch.
Reta retired from Faith Medical in East China in 2006. She loved reading but she especially loved being grandma and great grandma.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Tom) Lane, Melissa Bird, Jamie Taylor, Denise (Mike) Taylor-Turner and Diana (Sean) Hutchinson; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Kathy (Dave) Filener; and her feline companions, Matilda and Madison. She was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Robin and Anikka; three brothers and four sisters; and special friend, James Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
