David M Coon

David Martin Coon, 56, of Kimball Township, died Monday, February 12, 2024.

He was born March 30, 1967 in Port Huron to Eleanor and the late Preston Coon. He married Janette Farrington on September 6, 1996.

David was a 1985 graduate of Marysville High School and then attended Wyoming Technical Institute. He was employed with the City of Port Huron and formerly at Cawood Auto for 29 years. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially spending time at the family cabin in Lewiston. He loved quality time with his family, especially his wife and children.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Janette; son, Nicholas Coon; daughter, Madeline Coon; family dog, Bear; mother, Eleanor Coon; sister, Kelly Adolph; niece, Michelle Darby; great niece, Gabrielle Lozano; mother-in-law, Bev Farrington; special family friends, Linda and Duane Dooling; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Preston Coon; brother, Jay Coon; and sister-in-law, Lisa Bowman.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
