Judith A Davis

May 8th, 1938 to March 1st, 2024

Judith Ann Davis, 85, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2024.

She was born May 8, 1938 in Detroit to the late Franklin and Dorothy McKee. She married Richard H. Davis on September 27, 1969 in Port Huron.

Judith graduated from Port Huron High School and St. Clair County Community College. She was employed as a registered nurse for over 30 years, working with a focus in pediatrics in the Margaret Jenks wing of Port Huron Hospital, at Pediatric Associates with Drs. Lugg, Wilhelm and Rady and later in life, at the St. Clair County Health Department. During her break in nursing, she and her husband owned the Marysville 7-11. She was a long-time member of First Congregational Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Anyone who knew Judy will remember that she always had a smile on her face. She loved the lake and enjoyed watching it change from season to season.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard H. Davis; son, Franklin (Cheryl) Ferres; daughter, Susan Davis; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Davis; many nieces and nephews; and her caretaker, Dana Russell, who loved and took great care of Judy for the last two years of her life. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Davis.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. Shaun Laurain will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron.
