Edward Leonard Buch, 97, of Emmett, died Thursday, March 21, 2024.
He was born August 23, 1926 in Detroit.
Edward served in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years for the U.S. Postal service, and was Postmaster in Marysville for over 20 years. He was a member of American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8 and a faithful member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening and was a very caring person who was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Laure Buch; grandson, Kody (Amber) Frisbie; great grandson, Travis Frisbie; sister, Deanna (Paul) Gombos; son-in-law Brian Frisbie; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; daughter, Lisa Frisbie; his parents; and sister, Illene Bular.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in St. Christopher Catholic Church, Marysville, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
