Barbara T Price

Barbara Thomas Price, 92, of Port Huron, died, Saturday, May 18, 2024.

She was born August 23, 1931 in Port Huron to the late Andrew L. and Eleanor Thomas. She married Douglas N. Price on August 22, 1953 in Grace Episcopal Church.

Barbara graduated from Port Huron High School in 1949 and DePauw University in 1953. She loved Lake Huron, especially spending time at the beach in Sherman Woods subdivision. She was a member of the St. Clair County Garden Club, Port Huron Town Hall, Port Huron Golf Club, Women’s Initiative, Beacon Society and a lifetime member of Grace Episcopal Church, 3rd generation. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to her and she cherished her time spent with them.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Douglas; children, Thomas D. (Holly) Price and Mary Ann (Alan) Whitehall; three grandchildren, Emma (Trevor) Forde, Madeline (Robert) Romzek and Andrew (Julia) Whitehall; two great grandsons, Jack Robert Romzek and Colin Thomas Forde; several nieces and nephews, with a special recognition for her nephew, David (Pam) Thomas, who has been a big part of her life for many years. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Andrew H. and Natalie Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 in Grace Episcopal Church. The Reverend Shadrack Owuor will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Foundation of St. Clair County.
