Brigitte Fleisher

May 24th, 1937 to June 2nd, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brigitte Fleisher, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the age of 87.

She was born on May 24, 1937 in Germany and had been a cherished resident of Port Huron, Michigan for the past 40 years.

Brigitte will be remembered for her deep religious faith, boundless generosity, and kind spirit. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth and compassion, always ensuring her family was taken care and happy. She was a devout Catholic, serving many years on the Saint Anne's Alter Society at St. Stephen Catholic Church and was a member of the League of Catholic Women. In her younger years, she was a dedicated military wife, supporting her husband as he served in the United States Army.

Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will continue to honor her memory by embodying the values she held dear. Brigitte's life was a testament to love, faith, and selflessness.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Fleisher (Gerald Yacks Jr.); grandchildren, Steven (Christina) Williams Jr., Michael Williams (Jackie Keefer), Crystil (Scott) Helser, Brad Freeland and Katie (Matt) Cravens; great grandchildren, Pippa, Campton, Saharah and Anthony; and sister, Rosa Maria Riese. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Fleisher in 2020; daughter, Rosa Fleisher; and brother, Georg Riese.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Bradley Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church or the United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital.
