Janet A Tack

Janet Anna “Jenny” Tack, 82, of Port Huron, died Sunday, July 28, 2024.

She was born May 12, 1942 in Port Huron to the late William and Emma Black. She married Maurice J. Tack on August 2, 1960 in Port Huron and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2015 after 54 years of marriage.

Jenny was employed with Peggy and Bea’s Bookkeeping, All Star Services and Gielow Pickles over the years. Family was the most important thing in Jenny’s life…they truly were her world, and she loved knitting beautiful Christmas stockings for them. She was a member of Blue Water Free Methodist Church and longtime former treasurer of the women’s auxiliary of VFW Post 796.

She is survived by two daughters, Renee (Tim) Aldrich and Laurie (Joe) Beamer; a son, Kevin (Kristen) Tack; ten grandchildren, Nathan (Crystal) Aldrich, Tiffany Aldrich (Jason Russell), Zachary Aldrich, Kevin Tack, Courtney Tack, Justin Tack (Freya Petty), Jolynn (Marcus) Lewandowski, Ashley Beamer, Travis Beamer (Sarah Greiner), and Brian Tack, Jr.; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Bill Black; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two sons, Brian and Darren Tack; grandson, Jakob Simpson; five sisters, Charlotte Armstead, Joyce Smerer, Bea Gillette, Lorie McGregor and Mary Remick; and four brothers, Walter, Clifford, Robert and Russell Black.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Randy Bennett will officiate.

Burial will be in Port Sanilac Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jenny’s grandsons.
