Leewin C Mortimer
Leewin Clare Mortimer, 74, of Port Huron, died Saturday, August 31, 2024.
He was born September 29, 1949 in Buel Township, Sanilac County to the late Lewellyn and Glee Mortimer. He married Ann E. Cook on August 22, 1987 in Marysville.
Lee was employed in the trucking industry for many years prior to his retirement. He loved camping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and family.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ann; children, Kari (James) Joslin, Kay (Mike) Wesch, Samuel (Jen) Ayotte and Nathan Ayotte; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and siblings, Colleen Burgess, Kirk (Colleen) Mortimer, Jane Mortimer and Mary Lou (Greg) Kolowich. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Mortimer; and brother-in-law, Thomas Burgess.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2024 in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1350 6th Street, Marysville with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Elder Gary Wesch will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dry Dock Recovery Center.
