Geraldine M Bailey

Geraldine Mary Bailey, 93, of Port Huron, died Monday, October 21, 2024.

She was born December 8, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Gerald and Nora Brines. She married Wallace Bailey May 17, 1958 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2013.

Geraldine graduated from St. Stephen High School. She was employed with St. Clair County Friend of Court for 22 years prior to her retirement. Geraldine enjoyed bowling at Port Huron Lanes in the senior league, was very active in town hall meetings and loved to golf. She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion, member of the League of Catholic Women and the St. Clair County Retirement Association.

She is survived by her children, James Bailey, Stephen (Elizabeth) Bailey, Kathleen (Thomas) Davis, Patricia Bailey and John (Kelly) Bailey; grandchildren, Michael and Robert Bailey, Jennifer and Katheryn Bailey, Mark (Natalie) Davis, Sarah (Tim) Mahyna, Jason (Corinne) Davis and Thomas Davis, Jacy (Amanda) Bailey-Clark, Jenna (Don) Wolf and Jordan Bailey; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Jane Bailey; sister, M. Jean (Wayne) Killian; brother, Gerald Bailey Jr.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A vigil service will be held at 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Bailey will lie in state on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Parish St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Brad Forintos will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
