Hazel ( Koschnitzke
February 2nd, 1934 to May 28th, 2012
Hazel Mae (Loxton) Koschnitzke, 78, ended her journey here on Earth at her home surrounded by loved ones on May 28, 2012.
Hazel was born on February 2, 1934 to Edward and Delores Loxton. Hazel enjoyed an active life. She raced powder puff derby, sang country music and played her guitar. She took pleasure in family camping trips and card games. Hazel was a wonderful mom, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Hazel is survived by her children; sons Donald and Kevin Koschnitzke and daughters Sherry Collins and Colleen Deaner, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers Eugene, Richard and Edward Loxton and sisters Carolyn Fraser, June Smith, Mary Fedrick, Patricia McIntyre, Evelyn Landacre and Helen Wallum.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Delores, brothers Albert, Donald and James Loxton, grandson Nathan Deaner and great-grandson Bryce Stroh.
Everyone is welcome to celebrate Hazel’s life at a memorial service on Saturday, June 2nd, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery, 3800 Lapeer Road, Port Huron Township.
Her last breathe on Earth continued as her first breathe in Heaven where she is stronger and better than ever.
Cremation arrangements are by Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
