Stephen G Glombowski

Stephen Gerald Glombowski, 71, of Fort Gratiot, died Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

He was born February 1, 1955 in East China, Michigan to the late Gerald and Arial Glombowski. He married his high school sweetheart Maxine M. Mills. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2015.

Steve was employed as a machine operator with Domtar for many years. He was an avid boater and enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing shuffle board and softball. He was an animal and bird lover and also a loyal Detroit sports fan, “Go Lions”. Most all, he loved watching his grandchildren play sports and celebrating their accomplishments.

He is survived by his children, Shelly Glombowski, Gerald Glombowski (Carrine Sylvia), Shawna (Tim) Glombowski-Taylor and Angela Glombowski-Talbot; grandchildren, Michael (Bre) Greer, Josh Greer, Kobe Glombowski, Isabella Glombowski, Madison Talbot and Bryant Talbot; siblings, Paula (Tom) Sutton, Joseph (Regina) Glombowski, Ron Glombowski, Matthew Glombowski, Chrys (Darrell) Greene and Fred Glombowski (Jody Stoutenberg); son-in-law, Mike Greer Sr.; sister-in-law, Sherry Middleton; and brother-in-law, Michael Mills; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Julie, Martin and Philip Glombowski; and brother-in-law, Chuck Middleton.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron.
