Marie D Bailey

Marie D. Bailey (Caron) joined our Lord on September 24, 2012. She was born in Princeton, Michigan on December 18, 1916, the daughter of David E. Coron and Delia M. (Vermette). Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Ray R. Bailey, sons Donald R. Bailey, and David R. Bailey.
She enjoyed baking, feeding the birds, and playing bingo. Marie retired from Sears Roebuck in 1979 after 20 years of service. She was a life long resident of Port Huron, Michigan. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family.
Marie is survived by her sons Larry J. Bailey (Sandy), Port Huron, Michigan, Thomas E. Bailey (Deola), Southfield, Michigan. Daughters Barbara M. Gillespie, Port Huron, Michigan, Linda M. Ort, Marysville, Michigan, daughter- in- law Betty Bailey, Port Huron, Michigan. Sisters, M. Eloise Conlen, Virginia A. Tilson, Shirley A. Rock of Flint, Michigan, and Betty J. Krul of Higgins Lake, Michigan. Eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great- grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews also survive.
Mass of Resurrection will be 10am Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph A. Gagnon will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A rosary will precede visiting at 5:30pm.
Memorials may be given to the Blue Water Humane Society or the wishes of the family.
