Charles E Crimmins

Charles E. “Charlie” Crimmins, 80, of Port Huron, died Friday, January 4, 2013 in Port Huron Hospital following a short illness.
He was born June 16, 1932 in Port Huron son of the late Harold F. and Mary Bergetta (Cox) Crimmins and was a life-long area resident.
Charlie married Noreen C. Schoettle on September 27, 1958 in St. Stephen Catholic Church..
He was a 1950 graduate of St. Stephen High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. Charlie retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992 and enjoyed baseball, camping, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Noreen C. Crimmins of Port Huron; son, Edward C. Crimmins and partner, Dan Montgomery of Springboro, OH; son, John F. (Angela) Crimmins of Port Huron; grandchildren, Helen Crimmins, Laura Crimmins and fiance' Matt Wilson, Rebecca (Justin) Junell, Katherine Crimmins and fiance' Phil Ansell, Anthony Crimmins, Daniel Hutchinson and Maranda Bentley; brother, Martin A. (Jean) Crimmins of Ft. Gratiot; brother, Michael J. (Mitzi) Crimmins of Port Huron and sister Virginia A. Donnellon of Port Huron.
He was preceded in death by brothers David and Paul Crimmins.
Mass of Resurrection will be 10am on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. George Askar will officiate.
Visiting hours will be 2-5 & 6-9pm Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9am Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or the Mid-City Nutrition Center.
