Paul Powers
March 25th, 1930 to January 29th, 2013
Paul William Powers, 82, passed away peacefully January 29, 2013 in Lockport Hospital.
He was born March 25, 1930 Peterborough, ON, Canada. He married Orleen R. Schoettle on September 25, 1952. She preceded him in death on September 10, 2000.
Paul touched the hearts of many in his life and in turn many loved him. He never let distance separate him from the people he loved and cared for.
He is survived by his children, Paul (Debra) Powers, Don (Kathy) Powers, Ken (Marie) Powers and Janice Warman; grandchildren, Sheilah, Ryan, Tyler, Lorie, Melissa, Megan, Stephanie, Kaitlyn and Brandon; sister, Mary (Don) Forrest; brothers, Bill Powers, Rick (Maureen) Powers and Steve Powers; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Donna Rome and Noreen Crimmins; and his devoted and loving friend, Brid.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, James and Ethel (Netter) Powers and his brothers, Larry, Bernard, Charles and Robert Powers.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 am Monday, February 4, 2013 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph A. Gagnon will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Visiting will be from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Sunday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9:30 am Monday at church.
