Margaret A. 'Peggy' Anderson

March 10th, 1930 to December 2nd, 2005
Fort Gratiot - Margaret "Peggy" Ann Anderson, 75, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 2, 2005 with her children by her side after a battle with cancer. Margaret Ann Symon was born on March 10, 1930 in Flint to Mivert and Helen Symon. She graduated from St. Stephens High School in 1948. Peggy Worked for Women's Life Insurance as a Supervisor of Quality Control for 20 years before she retired. After retirement, she went to work for the former ACO Hardware on 24th Avenue. Peggy enjoyed playing poker and bingo, especially when she got together with family and friends to do so. Peggy was a loving, caring and devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her four children, Lloyd (Julie) Anderson of China Twp., Donna (William) Loane of Lakeport, Ralph (Mary) Anderson and Denise Anderson all of Port Huron; six grandchildren, Kevin and Emily Anderson, Stephanie and Bobby Loane, Amanda and Matthew Anderson: sister, Katie J. Symon of Port Huron and several nieces and nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Gerald and Donald Symon and a sister, Frances Young. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Edwards Catholic Church, Lakeport. The Rev. Joseph M. Esper will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2-9 p.m. Monday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the service time at church. Pallbearers will be Peggy's grandsons, Kevin, Matthew and Bobby and nephews, Mark and Charles Symon and Jeff Young. Honorary pallbearer will be Dan Symon.
