Sally McNamara

Huron-Sally L. McNamara, 80, of Port Huron, died Friday March 10, 2006 in Port Huron Hospital following a long illness. She was born on December 27, 1925 in Alder, Washington and has lived here since 1946. Sally married Jack F. McNamara. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1979. She was an auxiliary member of May-O'Brien V.F.W. Post #8465 and member of the Fife Lake United Methodist Church. She loved to travel, but her first love was her children and grandchildren. Sally is survived by her daughter, Deanna M. Vaughan and Wiley Funderburk of Fife Lake; son, Larry J. (Linda M.) McNamara of Port Huron, daughter Kathy E. (Randy) Mosher of Port Huron. Her grandchildren, David Hammond, Scott (Kym) Hammond, Suzie (Hughie) Anger, Jeff (Jennifer) McNamara, Melissa (Damon) Graham and Jason (Bridgett) Mosher. 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Special friend Bud Strey of Croswell and her loving cat Marble. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lorraine McNamara in 1964. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Episcopal Church. The Rev. Robert P. Trask, Rector will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Pallbearers are her grandsons and grandsons in law. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society and Grace Church.
