Catherine Boman-Steinborn

Catherine M. Boman-Steinborn, 73 of Port Huron passed away on Friday, June 30, 2006 with her family at her side following a short illness. She was born September 12, 1932 in Kenockee Township and had been a life long area resident. Catherine's husband Charles Boman preceded her in death in May of 1992. She married William R. Steinborn on September 20, 2003. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, a teachers aide at Jefferson Adult Learning Center and was active in Girl Scouts in earlier years. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Catherine is survived by husband, William R. Steinborn of Port Huron; daughters, Gloria (Tom) Rands of Port Huron; Linda (Larry) Morden of Goodells; Helen Marlatt of Port Huron and Teresa Bodeis of Port Huron; grandchildren, Ruth Ann, Charlie, Char, Larry, Frank, Nikki, Jim, Josh, Cassie, Luke and Marcie; great grandchildren, Mary, Thomas, Cordell and Clare; brother, George Lewis of Denver, CO; brother-in-law John McKinlay of Port Huron and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Anna M. McKinlay and son-in-law Mark Bodeis. Funeral services are 10 am Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. C. Paul Higdon will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Her grandsons will serve as her pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the wishes of the family.
