Phyllis Mitchell

Marysville- Phyllis O. Mitchell, 76, of Marysville went to be with the Lord on Friday, November, 3, 2006. She was born September 20, 1930 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Caulkett. She married David K. Mitchell on February, 19, 1955 in St. Edward On- The- Lake Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1995. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Phyllis is survived by daughter, Sandra E. (Paul) West of West Branch; son, John E. (Diane) Mitchell of Marysville; grandchildren, Justin (Michelle) West of Grand Blanc, Jordan (Catherine) West of Waterford, Stacie (Brad) Tracy of Davison and Mark Mitchell of Grawn, MI. Three Great Grandchildren. Her sister Virginia Whipple of Port Huron and sister-in-law, Erma Jean Caulkett of Port Saint Lucie, Fl. Nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her son David K. Mitchell, Jr and her brother Russell Caulkett. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. this evening. Memorials in memory of Phyllis may be given to the Genesys Hospice of Goodrich, 7280 S. State Rd., Goodrich, MI 48438 or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
