Ann Daniels

Ann B. Daniels, 91, of Fort Gratiot formerly of Goodells, died January 6, 2007. She was born September 14, 1915 in Detroit and has lived here for the past 30 years. Ann married Joseph G. Daniels on September 10, 1932 in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Detroit. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1990. Ann was an avid gardener and could work wonders to create a bouquet of flowers. She loved to travel, enjoyed fishing, walking the beaches and every spring and fall she roamed the woods to find edible mushrooms. She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Myrna) Daniels of Huntley, IL and Michael (Marie-Claude) Daniels of Newton, NJ; grandchildren, Patricia (Jack) Palmer, Arleen Purkiss, Jason, Michael, David and Diana Daniels. Six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; sister, Francis West; brothers, Benedict (Lori) Umbras and Anthony (Alice) Ambrose. Ann was preceded in death by her daughter Joan J. Overson. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Rev. John C. Bustamante will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening.
