Duane Deachin

Duane K. Deachin, age 70 of Port Huron, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in Port Huron Hospital following an extended illness. He was born January 21, 1937 in Port Huron and had been a life long area resident. Duane's wife of 42 years, the former June M. Debien preceded him in death on March 15, 2003. He was a former employee of Mueller Brass Company and Port Huron Hospital. Duane was a 1955 graduated St. Stephen High School and a long time parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed bingo and playing cards. Duane was a very sociable person who will be sadly missed by family and friends. Duane is survived by his brother, Donald R. (Patricia) Deachin of Burtchville Township; sister, Linda M. (Bud) Glyshaw of Ruby; "special grandson," Eddie; dear friend, Debbie Pearson and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Lillian (Richards) Deachin and sister Diane Deachin. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Simeon T. Iber, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be given to the wishes of the family.
