Fort Jackson, SC - Private Kenneth John Reilly, 20, died suddenly on Saturday, October 27, 2007 while stationed at Fort Jackson Army Base. He was in the Third Battalion of the 193rd Infantry Brigade. He was born May 5, 1987 in Port Huron. Kenneth was a loving father who enjoyed being with his son and loved being with his family. He enjoyed hunting, hockey, bowling, golfing, fishing, four-wheeling and working on cars. He especially loved holidays. Kenneth is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Colleen Reilly of Port Huron; his 2-year old son, Aiden of Ft. Gratiot; brother, Patrick Reilly of Port Huron; his sisters and brother-in-laws, Katie (Jim) Gonder of Port Huron and Kellie (Mike) Weston of Burtchville Twp.; two nieces, Alexis and Ashley of Port Huron; three nephews, Zack, Collin and Jayden of Burtchville Twp.; grandmother, Ruth Reilly of Clyde Twp: uncle, John (Julie) Malane and their three boys, all of Port Huron and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patrick and Mary Lou Malane. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church in Port Huron. The Rev. Simeon T. Iber will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his brother, Patrick Reilly; brother-in-laws, Jim Gonder and Mike Weston; friends, Steve Young, Pat O'Brien and Justin Senyk. Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth's godfather, Stephen Worton. Visiting hours are 4-9 p.m. Friday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
