Jerome F. Clary Port Huron - Jerome F. Clary, 70, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 20, 2008, in his home . He was born September 27, 1937 in Chicago, IL and has lived here since 1973. Jerry was a veteran serving with the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hancock in the Pacific Theatre. He was a graduate of St. Augustine High School, Richmond class of 1955. He was formerly employed at Acheson Colloids and most recently worked at Cap'n Jim's Gallery in Port Huron since 1996. His hobbies included electronics and he was an avid fisherman. Jerry was dedicated to helping Vietnam veterans and various veteran organizations. He served on Coast Guard and Hollyhock committees as well as with the Shipmasters Association. He is survived by his brother, Ben (Margaret) Clary of Shelby Twp; sister, Rosemary Ann (Alex) Pici of Macomb; brother, Jim (Ann) Clary of Richmond and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Frances and his sister, Martha. Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Saturday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A prayer service will be conducted Saturday evening by Major Tim Meyer of the Salvation Army. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
