Jeffrey W Gover

January 31st, 1970 to October 2nd, 2014
Jeffrey W. Gover, 44, of North Street, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 2, 2014.

He was born January 31, 1970 in Rochester, Michigan, the beloved son of Lewis and Janet (Gruber) Gover.

Jeffrey graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 1989. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and trained in Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico and Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. After training he came to Selfridge Air Force Base in Michigan and was a member of the 305th Airborne until it dismantled. He was a crew chief and worked on Huey’s.

After being discharged he worked at several automotive manufacturing shops of which the last place, Blue Water Automotive, closed their doors.

This gave Jeffrey the opportunity to go to college. He received an Associate’s degree in mechatronics, also earning two certificates in alternative energy and electrical/industrial.

Jeff fell out of his tree stand in 2011 and broke his back. Since that time he was not able to work due to disability.

Jeff loved watching all types of sports on TV, but his passion was hunting. He put in a food plot for the deer and planted trees on about 3 ½ acres of land.

Jeff came to know his Lord in 2012, for which I am eternally grateful for. I know he is in Heaven watching over us.

He is survived by his parents, Lewis and Janet Gover of North Street; aunts, Sandy (Pat) Lynch of Texas, Celeste Gruber of California, Lois (Al) Sheets of Shelby Twp, Evelyn (Frank) Steenbergh of Mancelona and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Gunda Gruber and Henry and Mae Gover

We miss you and love you. You are in our hearts forever.

Love, Mom and Dad.
