Victoria J Bowers

Victoria Jean Bowers, 81, of Port Huron died Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

She was born Jeanne Marie Duncan to Virgiline Duncan on September 28, 1944 in Port Huron, and was adopted by Dr. Douglas and Ernestine Treadgold.

Victoria graduated from Port Huron High School in 1962. She was a member of Wadhams Baptist Church. Victoria enjoyed watching the freighters pass on the river, and watching her favorite NASCAR Drivers race. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and being a Grammie.

She is survived by her three children, Lisa (Bill) Shagena, Doug (Wendy) Bowers, and John (Betty) Bowers; Honorary Son, Dale Friedle; six grandchildren, Daniel (Laura) Shagena, Krystal (Stephen) Fludd, Derek (Morgan) Bowers, Justine (John) Coffell, Kasie Nunley, and Sara Bowers (Samantha McBride); nine great grandchildren, Blake, Conner, and Braydan Shagena, Lillian and Olivia Fludd, Mark, Adam, and Lexie Coffell, and Brooklynn Nunley; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews; and good friend Bonnie Quandt.

She was proceeded in death by her birth mother, Virgiline Duncan; adopted parents, Dr. Douglas and Ernestine Treadgold; brothers Douglas Treadgold and Mike Spencer; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2026 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visiting beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor John Jobe and Pastor Doug Studaker will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery at a later date.
