Mary Darczy

Mary Darczy, 88, died after a short

illness on Monday, February 23, 2009. She was a loving mother,

grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.

She was born to Angelo and Angeline

Randolph on August 18, 1920. She was married 20 years to Louis

Darczy. He died January 27, 1967

Mary retired from the J. C. Penney

store that was located in downtown Port Huron after 20 years of

service. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, St. Stephen Church

and was a previous member of St. Anne's Altar Society. She had also

been a Red Cross volunteer. She loved to cook and several of her

recipes were published in local publications and cookbooks. She also

loved crossword puzzles, playing cards and reading.

She is survived by her son and

daughter-in-law, Lou and Judy Darczy of Port Huron; son and

daughter-in-law, Randy Darczy and Sally Stevenson of Saudi Arabia;

daughter and son-in-law, Lori and John Pidick of Fort Gratiot;

granddaughters, Stephanie Darczy of Port Huron and Danielle Darczy of

Florida; great granddaughter, Marcella McDonald of Port Huron.

She was preceded in death by her

father and mother, Angelo and Angeline Randolph; brother and

sister-in-law, Albert and Vera Randolph; brother, Tony Randolph and

her sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Bill Santini.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday

at St. Stephen Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Visiting hours are 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

Friday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and Saturday from 9:30 a.m.

until the service time at church.

Memorials may be made to the American

Heart Association or Holy Trinity Parish.
