Sandra Kay "Sandy" Daniels, 72, of Port Huron Township, died Sunday, May 27, 2012.

She was born September 27, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Richard and Bernice MacDonald. She married Donald Daniels on January 28, 1983 in Port Huron.

Mrs. Daniels graduated from Port Huron High School in 1957 and worked at Ben Franklin in Marysville for many years. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the St. Clair County Family History Group. She was a Girl Scout leader and was honored as the St. Clair County Twin Mother of the Year.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; five children, Cindy Nicholas, Robert (Cheri) Nicholas, David Nicholas, Diane (Doug) Hill and Teri (Steve) Smith; five stepchildren, Jon (Linda) Daniels, Thomas (Barb) Daniels, Stephen (Diane) Daniels, Murray (Karen) Daniels and Timothy (Sharon) Daniels; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Linda Letzgus; three brothers, Dennis (Ilene) MacDonald, Jay (Emma) MacDonald and Richard MacDonald; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend Joseph Gagnon will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Neil Brusch, Adam Daniels, Greg Daniels, Benjamin Daniels, David Daniels and Joshua Daniels.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Water Area Humane Society or Port Huron Host Lions Club.
