Richard Bringard

Richard J. Bringard, III, 53, of Oxford, died Friday, March 14, 2008 following a lengthy illness. He was born October 12, 1954 in Yale to Richard J. and Mary R. (Stocks) Bringard II. Richard married Heather A. Hayward on August 16, 1975 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Huron. He was a 1972 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School and a graduate of Oakland University receiving his BA and MA in Electrical Engineering. Richard worked for over 30 years at Ford/Visteon Motor Company and enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards and especially traveling to the family cabin in Alpena. He is survived by his wife Heather A. Bringard of Oxford; son, Sgt. Michael (Melissa) Bringard USMC of New Bern, NC; daughters, Amanda Bringard of Rochester, NY and Melinda Bringard of Oxford; parents Richard J. and Mary R. Bringard II of Leesburg, FL; brother, John (Celeste) Bringard of Umatilla, FL; sister, Sharon (Larry) Burns of Kenockee; niece, Jennifer (Eric) Lange of Whitmore Lake; nephews, Justin and Jermy Bringard; great-niece, Riley Rose Lange; great-nephew, Anthony Joseph Lange; father and mother-in-law, Irvin and Kathleen Hayward of Port Huron; sister-in-law, Michelle (Michael) Cinquino of Buffalo, NY; sister-in-law, Myra Hayward of Port Huron and brother-in-law Staate Hayward of Manitowoc, WI. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Simeon T. Iber will officiate. Visiting hours are 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening.
