Peter Kennedy

Peter F .Kennedy Port Huron - Peter F. Kennedy, 73, Passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, after a short illness. He was born May 24, 1934 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Georgetown University and was a U.S. Navy officer. He moved to Grosse Pointe, MI and raised his family. He and his wife Mary also lived in Traverse City and spent all of their summers at their beloved cottage on the shores of Lake Huron. They opened up their home to frequent guests during these summers. Peter was a devout Catholic who valued his relationship with God and his family and friends.. He worked steadily to help his fellow man in their time of greatest need. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 46 years; their children, Peter Jr. and wife Mary, Thomas and wife Lynette, Rosemary and husband Chris, Joseph, Katherine and husband Phelps. Peter was blessed with 11 grandchildren. All his children live here in Michigan. Memorial mass will be a week from Monday on April 7, 2008 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 4-9 p.m. at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
