William Berden

USAF MSGT (Ret.) William James Berden, Sr, 66, of Clyde, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 unexpectedly in his home. He was born October 31, 1941 in Port Huron and has lived in the area most of his life. Bill married Ruth Ann Paton on December 10, 1960 in Port Huron. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, working in the electronics maintenence field, and was a Vietnam Veteran. Bill worked as a ParaPro at the Tech center for 2 years and most recently was employed for 25 years as a Field Service Engineer for ThermoFisher Scientific based in California. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife Ruth Ann of Clyde; sons. William J. Berden, Jr of Aurora, CO, Jeffry A. Berden of Fort Gratiot, and Christopher L. Berden at home; grandchildren, Jon, Alyssa and Tayleigh Berden; brother, David (Ann) Berden of Meridian, MS; brother-in-law, Ralph Pettee of Marysville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Mildred (Wilson) Berden; sister, Patricia Pettee and brother, Phil Berden. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
