Sally Jo Platzer

Sally Jo Platzer Fort Gratiot Sally Jo Platzer, 67,passed away peacefully, in her sleep at her home on Saturday, September 6, 2008. She was born March 25, 1941 in Port Huron. She married Ronald J. Platzer on September 7, 1963 at St. Mary Church, Port Huron . He preceded her in death on January 31, 2002. Sally was a 1958 graduate of Port Huron High School. She was a loyal employee for Michigan Bell and then the Michigan Employment Security Commission from where she retired. She enjoyed shopping, sharing gifts, gardening and loved to travel. She was a very devoted wife, mother, sister and a loving friend to many, and her world revolved around her family. Sally is survived by her sons, Joel (Sue) Platzer of Fort Gratiot and Ron Platzer (girlfriend Lindsay) of Chicago; sister, Mary Elizabeth (John) Livingston of Kalamazoo; nephews, Peter (Connie) Livingston of Kalamazoo and Andy (Marianne) Livingston of Grand Rapids; brother-in-law, Jody (Cynthia) Platzer of Burtchville; many cousins, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Anglebrandt; mother Helen Anglebrandt Loeprich and her second husband John Loeprich; mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Mary Platzer and a brother-in-law, Mickey Platzer. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Church. The Rev. Simeon T. Iber will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jody Platzer, Peter Livingston, Andy Livingston, Jim Frantero, Michael French and Clinton Sherrard. Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
