Huron Philip Sidney Erickson, 58, died Saturday, September 27,

2008,

He

was born December 31, 1949 in Port Huron.

Philip

was a 1968 graduate of Port Huron Catholic High School He served in

the U.S. Army enlisting in 1969. He earned an Associates Degree and

was on the All American Academic Team at St. Clair County Community

College. He later earned a Bachelor and Master Degree from Wayne

State University. He was a member of the National Honor Society and

also the National Deans List for outstanding academic students. He

also had a board certificate in social work

He

is survived by his daughter, Alice Erickson of Port Huron; sisters,

Jill (Michael) Shier of Fort Gratiot and Norrie (Wayne) VanNest of

Kimball; brothers, Cliff (Luce) Erickson of Clyde Twp. and Neil

(Cindy) Erickson of Port Huron.

He

is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Lorraine Erickson.

Memorial

Mass will be 12 Noon Wednesday in St. Stephen Catholic Church. The

Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Visiting will be from 11

a.m. until the service time in the St. Stephen Foyer.

Burial

of ashes will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
