Clyde T. Norwood, 93, died Friday, January 10, 2014 in his home.
He was born September 26, 1920 in Henry, TN, one of eleven children. He married Evelyn Murphy on June 12, 1948 in Paris TN.
Clyde was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army as a medic and a cook. He worked as a pipefitter and retired from Chrysler. He enjoyed farming with his nephew Don. Clyde also loved to cook and everyone loved his cooking.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Evelyn Norwood; son Bob (Michelle) Rasberry; daughters, Phyllis (Steve) Risher, Annetta Norwood and Leisa (Nat) Hunt; sisters, LaVerne and Frances; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved and respected him.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Pastor Darwin Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Paris TN.
Visiting hours will be from 12 noon until the service time Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
