Viola M Hall

Viola Mae Lepien Hall, 87, of Kimball, died Thursday, February 20, 2013 in Fort Gratiot.

She was born June 1, 1926 in Center Line to the late Phillip and Emma (Middleton) Lepien. She married Clarence Hall on June 1, 1946 in Ruby Methodist Church. He died on May 20, 1997.

Viola and Clarence farmed for over 50 years near Roseburg, Michigan. She loved gardening and enjoyed painting on dishes, quilting and crafting.

She is survived by her brother, Lloyd (Carol) Lepien of Clyde; two nephews, Gregory (Marsha) Lepien of Petal, MS and David Lepien of Ruby; three nieces, Denise (Michael) Eagen of Sanford, NC, DeeAnn Lepien of Eastover, NC, and Jeneal Floyd of Port Huron; a brother-in-law, Bud Hall of Sandusky; several great nieces and nephews; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Leo A. and Wilma Lepien and special niece, Laura Lepien McLeod.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Reverend Terry Utter will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Yale.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice

Viola’s family would like to thank the staff of Medilodge of Port Huron for the kindness and care they provided her.
