Patricia A Laube

Patricia Ann Laube, 73, of Port Huron Township, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital – Port Huron.

She was born October 4, 1940 in Detroit, to the late Eugene and Ellen M. (Cory) Hoy. She married Richard J. “Dick” Laube on August 12, 1967 in Detroit.

Patricia graduated from St. Mary of Redford High School in 1959. She graduated Michigan State University in 1961 where she earned her degree in Secretarial Sciences.

Mrs. Laube was employed by the Ford Motor Company for 7 years and also served as the executive secretary at the Head Start Program in Saginaw.

She was also employed at Mercy Hospital for 7 years and was former office manager for Dr. Patrick Wageman in Owosso for 7 years.

Pat enjoyed cards, doing crafts, watching her grandchildren and listening to Michigan State sports events – football, basketball and hockey.

She is survived by her husband, Richard J. “Dick” Laube of Port Huron Township; two sons, John (Cathy) Laube of Flint and Jim Laube of Waterford; two grandchildren, A.J. and Rose; her siblings, William (Kathy) Hoy of Cadillac, Paul (Melanie) Hoy of Howell, Mary Ellen Hoy of Canton, Sue (Jerry) Carney of Canton, Joe (Sherry) Hoy of Florida, Kathy (Steve) Gass of Canton and Tom (Maureen) Hoy of Bloomfield Township; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert Laube, Ronald (Marcella) Laube, Roger (Beth) Laube, Rod (Elizabeth) Laube, Dorothy (Richard) Railing. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Joanne Brennen.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Holy Trinity Parish – St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be given to Holy Trinity Parish – St. Stephen Catholic Church, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital – Port Huron or St. Joseph Indian School.
