Michael A. Samson, 70, of Yale, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 in his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born April 16, 1944 in Yale to the late Adam P. and Nadja E. (Panasevich) Samson. He married Marcia B. Smith on November 9, 1968 in Yale.
Michael was a 1962 graduate of Yale High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from New Haven Foundry after which he started his own pattern design business.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia of Yale; sons, Bill Samson of Yale and Chris Samson (Heather Sizemore) of Imlay City; grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Chloe and Brody; great-grandsons, Paul and Trae; sister, Julie (Thomas) Simpson of Port Huron; an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his sister Elaine Brown.
Family memorial services have taken place. Inurnment will be in St. Clair County Allied Veterans Cemetery, Port Huron.
Memorials in memory of Michael may be given to any hospice of the donor’s choice.
