Marilyn B. Claseman, 91, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Clinton Township.
She was born January 7, 1923 in Lafayette, IN, the daughter of the late Leo and Louise Butz. She married Irvin Claseman on May 28, 1945. He died on September 29, 2007.
Marilyn worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for the Blue Water Scout Council for many years. She loved playing Bridge, walking at the mall and holding babies (especially her grandson Ben). She was an avid reader and a talented knitter. Her family was the most important thing to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Claseman of St. Clair Shores; her son, Tim Claseman, Corpus Christi, TX; grandson, Ben Claseman; and sister, Marge (Larry) Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herb and Robert Butz.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Jeffrey Allan will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday in the church.
Memorials may be made to Hunter Hospitality House.
