Richard A. Balmer passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2014, at the age of 44.
He was born on July 27, 1970 in Port Huron to Stephen and Kathy Balmer.
He is survived by his parents; daughter, Rebecca Balmer and step-daughter, Joslyn Maurer and their mother Heather (Mark) Radatz; brother, Robert (Jennifer) Balmer; sister, Jennifer Jacobsen (Joe Behr); best friend, Gary Herbert; nieces, Mackenzie Jacobsen and Maddie Balmer; uncles, John Wilkins, Philip (Linda) Wilkins, Robert (Debbie) Armitage, Amos (LuAnn) Armitage and Len (Debbie) Montoya; aunts Linda (Don) Parker and Gloria Balmer; great aunt, Merle MacJennett.
Visiting hours will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 1p.m. Friday August 8th at St. John’s United Church of Christ. The Rev. Dr. Richard Hotchin will officiate. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at church.
Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
