Pamela Anne Oziah, 58, of Kimball Township died Sunday, August 24, 2014.

She was born March 21, 1956 in Grosse Pointe to the late Carrol E. Urban III and Cecile Urban. She married John F. Oziah on July 25, 1986 in Mt. Clemens.

Pamela earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Oakland University. She was past president and secretary of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). She was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett. She also volunteered with Dream Catchers, a child abuse, prevention and intervention organization.

She was previously employed with the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office for many years and later retired from St. Clair County Community College.

She is survived by her husband, John F. Oziah; son, Jonathon F. Oziah; daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Chapo; step-daughter, Jenelle (James) Collingwood; granddaughter, Natalie Miller; step-grandchildren, Caradon, Rachel, Christopher and Raymond Congdon; step-great grandson, Jayden; brothers, Dr. Carrol (Carol Ann) Urban, Dr. Ronald (Linda) Urban and Gerald (Mary) Urban; sister, Karen “Tricia” (Fred) Stanek; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Resurrection will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett. Rev. H. Thomas Kuehnemund will officiate. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Kenockee Township.

Visiting will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 10:30 a.m. until the service time Friday at church.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
