Bernard J. “Bud” Ceglarek, 75, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014.
He was born June 20, 1939, in Port Huron, the son of the late Edward and Madeline (Sarnowski) Ceglarek. He married Darlene Charles on January 28, 1961 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2009.
Bernard was a graduate of St. Stephen Catholic High School and served in the United States Army.
He was employed at Mueller Brass for over 40 years as a machine repairman. He was a member of VFW Charles Schoor Post #796, the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3702 and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all sports.
He is survived by his children, Thomas (Sandy) Ceglarek of Toledo, OH, Monna (Chuck) Prince of Lavonia, GA and Scott (Diann) Ceglarek of Port Huron; 6 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Bernard was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold, Donald and Frederick Ceglarek,
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2014, in Holy Trinity Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the Veteran’s Honor Guard Alliance.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014, in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until the time of service in the church.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made Holy Trinity - St. Joseph Catholic Church.
