Betty J. Glombowski, 89, of Marysville passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 after a long illness.
She was born February 6, 1925 in Port Huron to the late Amos and Blanche Armitage. She married Frank B. “Buck” Glombowski Jr. on February 15, 1947 in the St. Joseph Church Rectory, Port Huron.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a super homemaker. She was also an avid gardener. Prior to raising her family, she was employed at Bell Telephone as a supervisor.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Frank B. “Buck” Glombowski Jr.; daughter, Patricia Cook; son, Charles (Debra) Glombowski; grandchildren, Donald (Jennifer) Fleming Jr., Shawn (Julie) Fleming, Shaleene (Damien) Mayo and Joel Glombowski (Fiancé Kayla); 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; sister, Wilma Hurley; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Armitage and sister, Margaret Kilets.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. The Reverend Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday in the funeral home.
