Ignacia Rodriguez

Ignacia “Nacha” Rodriguez, 84, of Port Huron, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 in Fort Gratiot.

She was born February 1, 1930 in Asherton, TX to the late Hijinio and Angela (Ramos) Rodriguez. She resided in Port Huron her entire adult life.

Nacha retired from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in 1996.

She is survived by her seven children, Roy (Joyce) Rodriguez Jr., Ricardo (Cheryl Pergande) Rodriguez, Fernando (Barbara) Rodriguez, Francisco (Hisako) Rodriguez, Gloria (William) Kearns, Mary Isabel (Dennis) Rodriguez Dale and Lupe (Edwin) Hall; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Graciela (Catarino) Medina; brother, Jorge (Maria de Jesus) Martinez and many nieces and nephews. Nacha was preceded in death by her sister, Marselena Rodriguez and her brother, Gilberto Rodriguez.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission. The Reverend Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate.

The family will have a private burial.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2014 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from to 10:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service in the church. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission or Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home.
