Virginia Lee Wagner, 93, of Fort Gratiot, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2014
She was born September 22, 1921 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to the late Ardiel and Myrtle Newton. She married John Wagner on December 10, 1939. He died July 24, 1997
Virginia was an active member of Griswold Street Baptist Church for over 70 years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, baking and reading. She was a foster mother through probate court for a number of years.
She is survived by her two sons, David (Janice) Wagner of Port Huron and Daniel (Lori) Wagner of Willow Spring, NC; grandchildren, Rachelle and Andrew Wagner; great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Justin; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband John; her parents; sister, June and her brothers, Ardiel Jr “Buck” and Larry.
Funeral services will be 11a.m. Friday, December 12, 2014, at Griswold Street Baptist Church. The Reverend James Pettit will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair
Visiting hours will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the service time Friday at church.
