Norbert P. Malburg, 79, of Kimball

formerly of Capac, died in his home on Saturday, February 21, 2009

with his family by his side after a courageous battle with lung

cancer.

He was born May 30, 1929 in Utica,

Michigan and has lived in the Capac area most of his life.

He married the former Margaret M.

Angel on June 16, 1956 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica.

Norbert farmed in the Capac area

all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and

was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. He was an honorary

member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Knights of Columbus Council #4556

in Imlay City. Norbert enjoyed golfing, bowling, but most of all

spending time with his loving family.

He is survived by his wife,

Margaret M. Malburg of Kimball; daughter Lorinda M. (Patrick)

Driscoll of Avoca; son, Paul N. (Estrella) Malburg of Amesbury, MA;

daughters, Kristine A. (Patrick) Murphy of Kimball; Noreen M.

(Jeffrie) Seros of Yale; Karen A. (Kenneth) Kincaid of Yale and Terri

L. (Patrick) Schrauben of Portland, MI; 18 grandchildren, 2

great-grandchildren; sister Marie Rhein of Chesterfield Twp; sister,

Margie Rhein of Armada; brothers, Raymond (Barbara) Malburg of Capac;

Clarence Malburg of Allenton; sister, Dorothy (Raymond) Muylaert of

Almont and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his

parents, Paul and Lorinda Malburg; grandson, Thomas John Murphy and

sister, Lucille Malburg.

Funeral services will be 10 am

Tuesday in St. Stephen's Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian K.

Cokonougher, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope

Cemetery with military honors under auspices of the St. Clair County

Allied Veterans Council.

Visiting hours are 5-9 pm today

and 2-9 pm Monday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 am

Tuesday at the church. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Monday

evening.

Pallbearers will be Patrick

Driscoll, Patrick Murphy, Jeffrie Seros, Kenneth Kincaid, Patrick

Schrauben and Hank Rhein.

Memorials in memory of Norbert may

be given to the Wishes of The Family.
