Christine Dahlke
June 11th, 1958 to January 6th, 2015
Christine Marie (Gepfrey) Dahlke, 56, of Port Huron, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 with her family by her side after a long courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
She was born June 11, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio to Willis and Patricia Gepfrey. She married Craig Dahlke on June 30, 1979.
After graduating from Lapeer West High School and achieving an Associate Degree from St. Clair Community College, Christine worked in several doctor’s offices over 27 years. Most of that time was with Dr. Jerry at the Bone and Joint Institute, until her illness began in 2007.
Christine was an avid crafter of many venues and also loved to bake cookies and treats to hand out to people she knew. Christine was one of the most friendly, caring and generous with a helping hand to many. Her smile was a wonderful greeting to everyone. Christine was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Craig; children, Wade Dahlke and Kallen (Kip) Jones; granddaughter, Raegan Dahlke; step grandsons, Parker and Tanner; parents, Willis and Patricia Gepfrey; siblings, Sheryl (Ernie) Johnson, Karen (Dave) Peasley, Luann (Kevin) Mogolan, Marianne (Chris) Bolton, Pamela Gepfrey, Mike (Robyn) Gepfrey, Dennis (Camille) Gepfrey and Bruce (Melissa) Gepfrey; father-in-law, Donald Nichol; sisters-in-law, Rene’ (Jeff) VanDeven and Tracie (Glenn) Wild; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and Zoey, her lap dog. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Norma Nichol.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited 6 pm on Friday in the funeral home.
Christine will lie in state from 10 am until the time of funeral mass at 11 am Saturday, January 10, 2015 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Zbigniew Zomerfeld will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
Memorials in memory of Christine may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Multiple Myeloma Research or Blue Water Hospice.
