Joyce M. "Joy" Farnsworth

Joyce M. “Joy” Farnsworth, 85, of Port Huron, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Marwood Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on July 8, 1929 in Detroit and has been a Michigan resident most of her whole life.
As a young woman, Joyce, in addition to working, performed live on radio broadcasts and even on television as a professional whistler. Through the years, Joyce co-owned a local restaurant and worked at various jobs, retiring from the State of Michigan.
Joyce loved animals and working in the yard. She was outgoing and enjoyed helping others.
As a seven year resident of Marwood Nursing and Rehab, she enjoyed many friendships with both residents and staff.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Ilene) Farnsworth of Port Huron. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy.
Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
